What kinds of dresses and products do you have?

We do all kinds of special occasion dresses! We have wedding, bridesmaid, cocktail, and evening dresses ready in store for you to browse. We even do bridal veils, hats, and special occasion outerwear. If you can’t find anything that suits your needs in store, we can alter a dress you’ve found elsewhere or custom-make one just for you.

What kinds of services do you provide?

We do all kinds of alterations, including fitting and tailoring, re-sizing, and re-styling. If you know what you want but can’t find it anywhere, we can even custom-make a dress just for you.

Are appointments free?

Yes, appointments are free, no commitments!

How can I get a pricing quote?

Just book an appointment! Bring the dress you want altered or your ideas for a custom dress. Once we take a look and confirm what you're looking for, we can give you a pricing quote.

My event is very soon. How quickly can I get my dress?

Not a problem! We have a selection of dresses available in store, ready to be worn (and altered if needed). Alterations can be completed in under 1 week, and custom dresses can be made in under 1 month!

Do I need an appointment to see or try on the dresses?

To ensure you have our full attention, all visits are by appointment only!

Meet Sara, Founder and Designer

Sara has over 20 years of experience designing, making, and altering wedding dresses.

As a child, Sara watched and learned from her grandfather, a tailor. She began teaching herself to sew in her teens by reading brochures and magazines about sewing and design. She spent much of her free time altering her own clothes, and eventually making her own clothes.

Armed with all this knowledge, she taught a sewing and clothes-making class throughout her twenties, seeking to spread her passion for fashion. Over a decade of teaching later, she started her own wedding dress boutique in her hometown on the Caspian Sea. For 12 years, she personally designed and custom-made dresses for hundreds of people.

In May 2018, she opened Alma Bridal in Downtown Vancouver, still chasing a simple passion–to help people feel beautiful on their special days.
